A cabin filter helps manage dust entering the passenger compartment, while the blower, evaporator, condenser and controls determine airflow and cooling. A restricted filter can affect airflow, but weak cooling may have other causes.
During an AC inspection, review the filter, vents, blower, refrigerant circuit and electrical controls. Use the vehicle-specific filter and service procedure, especially on imported or premium models.
