Home charging depends on the vehicle inlet, charging cable, wall unit or socket, protective devices and the condition of the installation. A problem in one part can affect the experience of the whole system.
## Review safety and condition
Inspect the connector and cable for visible damage, keep connections dry and follow the vehicle and charger instructions. A qualified inspection is appropriate when the connection, isolation or protective equipment is uncertain.
## Keep a simple routine
Record charging behaviour and any warning message. If the vehicle stops charging unexpectedly or shows an electrical warning, arrange diagnosis instead of repeatedly resetting the connection.
